The Big Heat (1953/90 mins.) - When homicide sergeant Dave Bannion (Glenn Ford) is assigned to investigate the apparent suicide of a fellow police officer, he uncovers a sinister relationship between the local syndicate boss and the corrupt city government. Bannion’s cozy suburban life is destroyed when the big city gangsters mistakenly kill his wife with a car bomb intended for him.
