Excelsior Branch's Summer Youth Chess Club meets on Saturdays. Kids ages 6-8 can play from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Ages 9+ from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The next meeting of the Chess Club is Saturday, June 28. The Chess Club will meet twice in July, on 7/12 and 7/19, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Chungking Express tells loosely interconnected stories about two lovelorn Hong Kong cops. Boswick the clown will bring his magic and juggling show to Excelsior Branch on Thursday, June 26th. The performance also includes physical comedy, audience participation, fire juggling, lots of "why did the chicken cross the road?" jokes and acrobatic pratfalls.
