Summer Reading starts this Saturday, June 1

Adults have to read 40 hours, teens 30 hours and children 10 hours (young children can participate by having someone read to them). Everybody who completes the Summer Reading program gets a prize as well as a virtual raffle entry for a chance to win a Family or Individual membership for the California Academy of Sciences, the Exploratorium, the De Young Museum, or the Zoo. And you will be eligible for a chance to win a $500 gift card for Chronicle Books to be raffled off on August 18 at Sunday Streets next to the Main Library.
In addition, all teens who read 30 hours and submit 5 book reviews will be eligible for a chance to win a $5000 scholarship from Supervisor Mark Farrell. Read more here: http://sfpl.org/index.php?pg=2000615101
Of course there will also be wonderful Summer Reading programs at your favorite library branch, so come on over, check out some books, participate in a program and have fun!
