A debonair con artist falls for an equally duplicious pickpocket,and the happy couple set their sights on a rich heiress.
The movie, which was one of Ernst Lubitsch's favorites, was not approved for re-issue in 1935 when the Production Code was being enforced. In 1991 Trouble in Paradise was selected to the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress.

China's Terracotta Warriors slide show and talk, Tuesday, May 7, 7-8 p.m.
A docent from the Asian Art Museum will present a slideshow and talk about the museum’s exhibition “China’s Terracotta Warriors.” She will show slides of some of the 120 rare objects—including 10 terracotta figures—currently on show at the museum. She will also talk about the unification of China, and the life and rule of the First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang Di, his quest for immortality, his death, burial, and complex legacy.
