First Monday Movies at Excelsior on Monday, February 6, 6:30-8:30pm

After taking a break in January, First Monday Movies @ Excelsior is back! The theme for this year is Oscar Winners (and Some Nominees) from the 1930s and 40s.

The February selection is Grand Hotel with Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford and Wallace Beery, directed by Edmund Goulding, 1932, 113 minutes. Oscar for Best Picture, 1932.

The most expensive hotel in Berlin furnishes the background for gaiety and sorrow in a multi-layered story based on a novel by Vicki Baum.


Do You See Cats? SF SPCA Community Cats Education Program, Monday, January 23, 6:30-8pm

Do you see or feed cats in your neighborhood? Cats with no particular home or owner? These are some of San Francisco’s community cats.

To learn more about San Francisco's Community Cats, and how Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Programs can be successful in your neighborhood, view a trapping demonstration and get involved.

Spanish translation will be available.

Excelsior Film Fest Short Film Series on Tuesday, January 17, 7-8:30

The Excelsior Film Festival Short Film Series is a monthly event showcasing short films by local and independent film artists.

This month's feature is A Brush with the Tenderloin by Paige Bierma. Paige Bierma's film documents a mural project in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Other short films will be shown as well.

7-7:30pm Film for general audience
7:30-7:45pm Intermission
7:45-8:30pm PG13 film

Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
