Chess Club Moves to Saturdays
Beginning on Saturday, June 7, the Chess Club for kids will be held on Saturdays instead of Fridays. The Chess Club meets from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Chess Club is open to kids ages 6 to 18. All experience levels are welcome. The Chess Club meets twice in June, on Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, June 28.
Design a T-Shirt for Teens - June 11, 3:30 p.m.
Have fun creating your own one of a kind t-shirt that expresses exactly who you are. A wide variety of colorful paint pens, ricrac, faux jewels and all other materials are provided. For ages 11-18. Space is limited to 15 participants. Call (415) 355-2832 for more information.

Kid Power - Volunteer Opportunity
Kid Power is a library volunteer program for kids and teens ages 10 to 16. Kid Power volunteers help children sign up for the Summer Reading Club and give out Summer Reading Club prizes. The Summer Reading Club runs from June 14th to August 9th. Kid Power volunteers choose their own work schedules. Volunteers who complete at least 10 hours by August 9th receive a certificate and invitation to a party at the end of the summer. To participate, you need to attend a short training session, either Saturday, June 7 at 4 p.m. or Thursday, June 12 at 4 p.m.

Excelsior Branch librarians are offering one-on-one computer instruction in the use of the library's online catalog, research databases, the internet, email and Microsoft Office. Training sessions are 30 minutes. Call (415) 355-2868 to book an appointment or for more information.
